Lisa Wechsler is a Partner of the firm and works primarily in the Audit and Assurance department. Lisa’s responsibilities include planning, designing, supervising, and implementing audits of governmental and not-for-profit entities. Her expertise includes, but is not limited to, local county and municipal governments, state agencies, special purpose tax districts, regional transit authorities, and voluntary health and welfare nonprofit organizations.
Lisa graduated from the University of South Carolina with her Bachelor’s of Business Administration. She later obtained her Certified Public Accountant certificate and is licensed to practice in South Carolina. Lisa has over 25 years experience and serves as the overall engagement manager.
Her experience is heavily focused in nonprofit and governmental entities to include audit services, financial statement preparation and presentation, and tax return preparation for nonprofits. Lisa is also well-versed in governmental reports and has assisted many entities in receiving the coveted Certificate of Excellence in governmental reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA). Lisa was also awarded a Certificate of Educational Achievement in Governmental and Not-for-Profit Accounting and Auditing from the AICPA.
