Richard D. Crowley (Doug) is the Managing Member of the firm and the leader of our tax and consulting practice. Doug’s responsibilities include planning, supervising, scheduling and reviewing engagements, and managing client relationships. Doug is also a Certified Valuation Analyst and oversees all of the firm’s valuation engagements. Prior to the creation of the Crowley Wechsler & Associates, Doug worked in public accounting in Beaufort since 1995. He also served in the United States Marine Corps, where he attained the rank of E-6, Staff-Sergeant.

Doug graduated from Campbell University in North Carolina with his Bachelors of Business Administration. He later obtained his Certified Public Accountant certificate and is licensed to practice in South Carolina. Doug has over 21 years experience.

Doug has significant experience in serving not-for-profit and government entities. He has served as the lead audit partner on several large not-for-profit and government audits throughout the Lowcountry. Not only is Doug well-versed in auditing and valuation, he also works closely with individuals and small businesses on tax preparation and tax planning, entity setup, estate planning, and bookkeeping and payroll issues.
